Description: You will be the Aircraft Mechanic III (sheet metal) for our traveling modification team. Our team is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and modifying structural components of C-130J and CV-22 aircraft, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aircraft Mechanic III, you will be responsible for performing complex structural repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft, utilizing your expertise in interpreting technical data and blueprints. Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining, repairing, and modifying aircraft structures and surfaces

Fabricating, assembling, and installing aircraft parts and assemblies

Performing corrosion control, maintenance inspections, and miscellaneous duties

Working with aviation sheet metal, hardware installation, and other specialized tools and techniques

Basic Qualifications:

CV-22 experience preferred

Minimum six years of sheet metal experience performing aircraft modifications.

Strong aptitude to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Composite material experience

Desired Skills:

Heavy modification/integration/repair sheet metal experience on aircraft.

Active Secret Clearance

Proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781 forms

CV-22 experience

Composite material experience

C-130 experience

Active Passport

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
