DoD Systems Engineer

CACI is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join the Navy Command, Control, Computing, and Intelligence (C3I) division. As a Systems Engineer, you’ll support the design, development, and lifecycle management of Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft systems and associated ground support equipment. This position requires you to work on-site in the Austin, TX office two days per week.
Responsibilities:
Needs and Requirements Analysis: Interface with customer and stakeholders to identify user needs, Concept of Operations, and system performance requirements.
Functional Analysis: Collaborate with System Architects and Systems Engineers to identify and evaluate system concepts.
Collaborative Design: Work with various engineering disciplines to analyze, design, refine, implement, and integrate hardware and software designs.
Test and Evaluation: Lead test planning and procedure development with traceability to requirements for verification.
Lifecycle Support: Provide expertise in the DoD lifecycle, including risk management, to identify and manage technical, cost, and schedule risks.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering
5+ years experience in Systems Engineering role
Knowledge of standard DoD Systems Engineering Process and terminology
Experience developing documentation associated with requirements, specifications, interface control, and verification & validation
Participation in design review preparation and meeting support (System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews)
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering
Active DoD SECRET security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Desired:
Familiarity with iterative development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum or Kanban and supporting tools (e.g., JIRA)
Experience with C4ISR system design
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering architecture frameworks (DoDAF), tools (Cameo), and generation of models
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100 – 172,400 USD
