This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Surveyor with our New England Geospatial team in Glastonbury, Connecticut .

Your Impact
Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys for civil transportation projects
Perform GPS surveying
Utilize Auto CAD Civil 3D to edit field book files
Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys
Working closely and in collaboration with a dynamic team of experienced professionals
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Remain current in the latest survey knowledge, techniques, and practices.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Out of the area travel, with potential of overnight stays, as projects dictate.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Minimum of 3 years of survey experience.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
Must possess a willingness to learn
Ability to work outside in all climates
Requires availability to travel out of the area, with a potential of overnight stays, as projects dictate
Requires availability to work nights and overtime, as projects dictate
Valid driver’s license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, Laser scanning & GPS Surveys
Experience with collecting field data in a line work format
