Leidos' Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE) team is seeking a Principal Program Scheduler to support our Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Global Services Business Area of the Leidos Civil and Health Sector.

This is a critical role that provides scheduling leadership across multiple critical programs and portfolios within our SES Business Area. As a core member of the EVM COE, you will be responsible for all aspects of creating and maintaining a resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) schedule to provide the basis for the time phased budget and estimate to complete cost data for this project. You will construct and maintain the MS Project plan daily, run reports, and generate various views. In depth IMS Project skills will be required to facilitate meetings and work one-on-one to ascertain project activities, resources, requirements, predecessors, successors, impacts, milestones, etc.

Our Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Business Area is the cornerstone of Leidos’ comprehensive suite of fully-integrated security detection and automation solutions for aviation, ports and borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world. Leveraging this portfolio, our core technical strengths, and robust R&D initiatives, we are positioned to address emerging and evolving threats through rapid development of innovative solutions for our global customers. Our products include Body Scanners, CT baggage scanners, Explosive Trace Detection units, radiation detectors and spectrometers, and X-ray scanners for cars, trucks, cargo containers, and trains that are used in Aviation, Ports and Borders and commercial security applications globally.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for applying scheduling theory to develop and maintain a resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) schedule using best practices as in the Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG).
• Implement program scheduling business rhythms, developing baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule
• Strong communications skills with the ability to work with the functional areas to identify and maintain all schedule tasks and dependencies.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager, and with input from the cross-functional team, generate, publish and maintain an accurate a Master Schedule, using MS Project and Project Web App (PWA), showing the tasks and resources required to deliver on-time, per customer requirements and milestones
• Work closely with multiple industry and government performers to develop detailed schedules, keep these schedules current and seamlessly integrated into the Master Schedule.
• Develop and maintain linkages, dependencies and inter-dependencies with related projects.
• Ensure internal and external dependencies are documented and tracked for risk management.
• Identify major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle and other project events.
• Identify critical path and task dependencies.
• Set and maintain the baseline schedule.
• Perform ‘what if’ scenarios within the schedule.
• Develop schedule version control processes.
• Generate schedule reports based on planned vs actual dates.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of program scheduling and program management experience.
• Advanced expertise using Microsoft Project and Project Web App.
• Strong working knowledge of scheduling theory and related best-practices (e.g., PASEG)
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) architecture (e.g., WBS or IMP based)
• Proven working knowledge of Critical Path, Baseline Change Control, and IMS configuration management.
• Ability to work independently with overall responsibility for the Master Schedule.
• Proven ability to work well within a team/collaborative environment.
• US citizenship is required and able to obtain Public Trust clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using tools like Microsoft Project Web App (PWA), Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project, and Monte Carlo Analysis tools.
• Advanced Excel skill set including Power BI, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables
• Experience with Scheduling for Agile and linking Microsoft Project and Jira.
• Experience with EVM/EVM Lite.
• Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Scheduling Professional (SP) certification

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 – $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
