Summary
HII’s Mission Technologies division focuses on delivering advanced solutions for national security and defense. This role specifically resides in our Platform Integration division and will help support Enterprise Level Security & Modernization for IT, Cyber, facilities and personnel. We’re looking for motivated and mission-oriented individuals to join our incredible team in the DC area!
What You Will Do
Operate and maintain the network and communications for a large IT enterprise.
Manage routing and encryption between sites while prioritizing reliability and connectivity between disparate WAN sites and local LANs.
Network Design and Implementation: Designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to meet operational requirements.
Network Security: Implementing and managing security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security policies.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Monitoring network performance, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary maintenance to minimize downtime.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
Documentation: Creating and maintaining accurate records of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
Significant experience with routing and encryption to ensure secure communications between a wide range of sites, technically and geographically
Ability to for CONUS travel to perform upgrades and site deployments
Experience utilizing dashboards to provide network health, utilization, and connectivity
Experience optimizing bandwidth allocations to ensure system connectivity and reliability
Active TS w/ SCI Eligibility

Experience developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Experience with configuration management of procedures and documentation
Creativity to address non-standard problem sets
Ability to operate in a co-located team, independently, and with remote support as needed
