Adecco is recruiting for a Apartment Maintenance Technician for a client in Kirkville, NY. This position is a long-term temporary position, with the potential to convert to full-time, and pays $18-20/hour.
Job Summary:
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of apartment communities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents. This role involves a combination of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across a variety of systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, doors, windows, and locks.
Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and completing necessary repairs.
Respond to service requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct regular inspections of the property, including building systems, grounds, and common areas.
Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and pool maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and parts/supplies used.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Be available for on-call rotation and emergency maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in building maintenance, HVAC, or a related field is a plus.
1-3 years of maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in apartment maintenance.
Strong working knowledge of general maintenance skills (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.).
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
