Filius is growing our team in El Paso, TX and seeking to add a Warehouse Technician to support our contract with the United States Air Force (USAF). This position will work a day shift and all work is onsite at our facility near the El Paso International Airport. There is no remote availability for this position.
The ideal candidate will support our Logistics Team with general warehouse responsibilities including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, inventory management, hazardous material (HAZMAT) identification and storage, and warehouse upkeep. This includes utilizing inventory management best practices for maintaining appropriate stock levels and understanding and following guidelines with regard to material handling and storage (e.g., humidity, temperature, cleanliness).
Duties:
Perform shipping and receiving activities.
Operate material handling equipment.
Build and assemble materials for shipment.
Manage inventory, including maintaining detailed records, regular cycle counts, and authorizations on spares, other local assets, material on loan, and excess stock designated for future requirements.
Process inventory adjustments and corrections as needed.
Provide resolution to non-routine supply shipments to meet emergency and/or new installation requirements.
Trace acquisition sources and methods to resolve problems relating to timely deliveries and lead times to ensure economical and timely distributions.
Maintain a clean and controlled warehouse, including separating stock categorically and ensuring that HAZMAT is partitioned from general stock.
Conduct investigations and reports for lost, damaged, or destroyed property.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in processing of all orders.
Requirements:
High school diploma or greater.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment or the ability to quickly learn.
Experience using Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) software.
Knowledge of or ability to familiarize with and understand OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and utilizing dollies, pallet jacks, and teaming principles to move heavier objects.
